father's day

after church on father's day (last sunday), we went to montgomery and met tim's parents and granny for lunch at dreamland barbecue. then we walked around downtown. hannah painted the cutest pictures for gifts. libby wore a special blueberry outfit that was made for hannah by nanny.

we are so lucky to have such wonderful dads in our lives. tim is an awesome dad himself, and makes us so proud. this is a recent pic of him that i love. can't imagine anyone else as my partner in the adventure of parenthood.

blueberries, popsicles and sprinklers

we are loving summer around here. our days have been jam-packed full of fun. tuesday afternoon we had an afternoon full of blueberries, popsicles and water play in the backyard. it's the first time we've picked blueberries off our bushes, and libby gobbled them up like candy.

braves game

last week (june 10th) we went to atlanta after church to go to a braves baseball game. it was a little stressful being around so many people, with the girls just wanting to run free. poor tim didn't get to see much of the game. but by the 5th inning we let the girls run the bases on the top section in the kids' area, and they both enjoyed that. libby, of course, loved running around with the bigger kids, pretending to be one of them.

our beach trip

after finding out that tim got a job (yay!) we planned a last-minute beach trip for may 31st through june 2nd. we went to the holiday inn in panama city beach, which has tons of fun things for kids. it's right on the beach and also has a splash pad and tons of activities, like a polynesian fire and dance show (where tim and hannah took the stage to practice their hula dancing), live music, and nightly movies on the pool deck. on the last day before heading home, we visited pier park, which has a little amusement park with fun rides (libby and hannah both loved the carousel the best).

hannah had her ballet recital today and she did so great! they did a ballet routine to dance of the hours and a tap routine to the justin bieber baby song. hannah was so excited about it all, and when i asked her afterward if she was nervous on the stage with so many people watching, she said no and acted like it never even crossed her mind to feel nervous. SO proud of her. i probably would have been paralyzed with fear to have done this at her age (or most any age).
