day in the life of a 2 year old

libby is having the time of her life. it must be so fun to be a 2 year old. every day she does a little coloring, swings if the weather permits, reads, watches cartoons, plays dress-up, and she sits on the potty after being bribed with M&Ms (though she hasn't been successful yet). she also looooves to sing! her favorite songs are twinkle twinkle little star, the ABCs, jesus loves me, old mcdonald, and you are my sunshine.

dinosaur! dinosaur!

last night, all the kindergarten classes at hannah's school put on a program called dinosaur! dinosaur! each class sang a song about a certain dinosaur, and had one kid dress up as that dinosaur. hannah was the triceratops for her class! she did great singing the songs. the six dinosaurs started off the show, then she sat on the front side of the stage until it was her class's time to sing and then she walked up front with them. we were so proud! to us, she was the star of the show! i sure wish we hadn't taken libby though, because she cried for sissy the whole time. she wanted to be on stage with hannah. tim had to walk her out after hannah's class sang.

montgomery day trip, part 3

last stop to cap off a perfect day was krispy kreme. talk about the best dinner! tim ordered a dozen donuts and some donut holes. libby clutched to the cup of donut holes for dear life and didn't let go until she had enjoyed every bite. hannah sampled a little of every flavor of donut.

montgomery day trip, part 2

after playing we went to lunch and then to the zoo. libby has been asking for over a week to go to the zoo every time we get in the car! when we got there, tim stood in line to get the tickets and i took the girls in the gift shop. we could hardly get them out of there for the main attraction! libby found these little figurines she loved and hannah found some stuffed snakes. when we did make it through the gate, we went to the bird exhibits first. libby's most favorite was the bear. she stood and watched him for at least 20 minutes, and probably would have stayed there all day if we would've let her. hannah said she liked the giraffes the best. my favorite was seeing the elephants eating in the area where they take them after they're done for the day. we thought we missed them but stumbled upon them there on the way out. after we'd seen all the animals and rode the train, we played in their great playground area.

montgomery day trip, part 1

had a great family day yesterday. i went to huntingdon for a photo session, so we made a day of it. i loved being back on campus and the girls loved running around. they especially loved pretending to sing on the stage on the green.
