pumpkin patch

i've decided that october is my favorite month because of pumpkin patches! last year was the first time we went to one, and we enjoyed it so much. this year we tried a different one, dream field farms near union springs. while we were waiting in line to pay admission, her friends from school - hope and nicole and their mom, sister maggie, grandmother, and cousin - walked up behind us. i couldn't believe we were all there at the same exact time! hannah was in absolute heaven to have kids that she could follow around and play with. we had the best day!

after we mastered the corn maze:

hannah's always been our cautious girl so we were surprised when she walked right up these steep stairs and went down the big slide.

i'm not sure who loved playing in the corn more: tim or hannah. ;) we are still finding corn kernels in our laundry and in random places around the house.

their pumpkin patch was beautiful! i don't think i'd ever seen a real pumpkin patch like this before. even better, we got there right around sunset so the light couldn't have been more perfect!

wild animal safari

we went to the wild animal safari in pine mountain on oct. 17th for tim's mom's birthday. we rented a van to feed the animals, and the animals stuck their stinky heads and tongues through the bars of the windows to get food. hannah was really nervous at first, but she worked up her courage and fed a few animals - mostly by throwing it out the window rather than sticking it in their mouths, but who can blame her? i think i fed one or two animals and that was good enough for me. we let tim and his dad do the dirty work. ;)

after she fed her first animal she was so proud!

first field trip

on oct. 7, hannah went on her first field trip with her preschool, and i was so glad to go with her. we went to a kids musical in columbus. we got to ride with her friends, twins hope and nicole.

we had a great time, but hannah's favorite part was just being with the kids in her class. she's always loved other kids, and she enjoys school so much.

this picture cracks me up. hannah pestered this boy the whole time. we hear about him every day, i think she might have a little crush.

last week they had a fall party. i didn't take many pictures because they pretty much just sat at this table and ate. hannah was the first to ask for dessert. and the first to ask for seconds. imagine that.

trip to the fair

we went to the county fair last week. when we walked through the gates, hannah gasped and said, "oh, there's a ferris wheel!" though she didn't want to get on it, she did enjoy riding in a car ride, sliding down a big slide with daddy (which she asked to go down three times), and the carousel. it is so fun now that hannah is a little older and can really enjoy things like this.

in baby news, i had a 34-week ultrasound today. everything is looking good, the baby is in the 60th percentile for growth and weighs 6 pounds 4 ounces. i am measuring a little bigger, at 36 weeks, so maybe she will come a little early?! she is already head down and ready to go!

first auburn game

we went to the auburn game on the 2nd. it's always fun having new experiences with hannah. she loved the ride from tiger town to the stadium in the bus. once we got there, she liked seeing all the colors and people but after we sat down her focus, of course, became how to move around! she danced on the bleachers and kept tim busy running to the concession stand.

my pretty girl

ever since we got a point and shoot camera this year, i take most pictures of hannah with it while we're out and about. i don't take enough good pictures of her! we walked down the road this evening to get a few shots. i just wanted to go somewhere quick, so we went to an empty lot filled with weeds. some of the weeds have recently turned a really pretty yellow, though, so it made a nice background. it may turn into our new picture-taking place.

tim took a few pictures of me. 34 weeks tomorrow, we are so ready to meet our newest girl.

other things we did this summer

looking back at our pictures of the summer i'm realizing how busy we stayed! but oh, we had so much fun. the past couple of summers with hannah have been so great. we fill the long days with laughter, watermelon, playing in the park, and hopefully a trip or two. here's a bunch of pictures of things we did that i didn't blog about.

we saw disney on ice in may with melissa. i've never seen hannah sit so still and enjoy something so much.

we had a picnic downtown opelika during the noon tunes tuesdays.

we picked blueberries and visited with sweet baby allison and her mom.

we went to savannah during the 4th of july weekend! we had SO much fun. it was great to get away for a while, just the three of us. one morning we went to tybee island on a dolphin tour and hannah rode on a boat for the first time. the ride was really bumpy but she loved it.

kyle and mclean were there, too! hannah loved them.

we played a lot with her friend grace.

we met my friend katherine for lunch.

and we painted two bedrooms!

i'm so glad to have these memories. hannah makes every day so much fun! now we are ready to bring on the cooler weather and all the things this fall and winter will have to offer.
